The South East Community Development Council
(SE CDC) enables youths to come forward to do their part for racial harmony. The South East CDC Racial Harmony Youth Ambassador (RHYA) Programme, a flagship programme launched in March 2002, seeks to develop a dynamic and cohesive generation of youths from different races who participate actively in the development of a cohesive and harmonious community.

MISSION
The South East CDC Racial Harmony Youth Ambassador Programme seeks to develop a dynamic and cohesive generation of youths who participate actively in the development of a cohesive and harmonious community

OBJECTIVES
1. To promote inter-racial understanding, appreciation and confidence among youths
2.To encourage active citizenry among the young
3. To create more opportunities for students, to interact with students from different racial background

ROLE OF RHYA
  • Spreading the message of multi-racial harmony within own families/ friends/ schools
  • Initiate and organise multi-racial activities both within and outside families/ friends/ schools
  • Provide feedback and inputs to the CDC on the views of the students / youth population on multi-racial related issues
